The Golf Club Scottsdale Wins Gold Nugget Merit Award for Clubhouse Design
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (May 15, 2007) — The clubhouse at The Golf Club Scottsdale has received a Gold Nugget Merit Award, to be given at the 44th annual Pacific Coast Builders Conference later this month. The oldest and largest program of its kind, Gold Nuggets honor creative achievements in architectural design and land use planning for residential, commercial and industrial projects internationally. The Club will vie for The Grand Award during a black tie ceremony in San Francisco on May 31.
Named one of five finalists in the Best Public/Private Recreational Use Facility category, the clubhouse was designed by David Lane of California-based Zehren & Associates, with interior design by Billi Springer & Associates of Scottsdale. Owned by Crown Golf of Chicago, the clubhouse was built by Madison Couturier Custom Homes.
The Gold Nugget Awards program is the premier event of the annual Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC). Entries come from 14 Western states and from countries all around the world. Gold Nugget winners share one common denominator: excellence and innovation in addressing complex design/build issues. The competition is sponsored by PCBC and BUILDER, a national magazine of the housing industry. For more information, visit www.goldnuggetawards.com.
